NEW OPENING HOURS:

Dear Patients

Due to essential administrative requirements the practice has had to adjust our current opening hours. The new hours as follows will take effect from Monday 31st October 2016.

Open: 8.30am - 1pm

Closed: 1pm - 2pm

Open: 2pm - 5.30pm.

The practice will be contactable by phone from 8am - 6pm.

Please note: During the times of 8am - 9am, 1pm - 2pm & 5.30pm - 6pm, the practice will take EMERGENCY CALLS only. (If you ring during these times & your condition is not an emergency, we will politely ask you to contact us back during the times stipulated)

PRESCRIPTION LINE OPENING HOURS

The prescription line will be open during the following hours:

9am - 12pm

2pm - 3.00pm

At present only 18% of patients on repeat medication are signed up online. We would like to encourage patients to sign up to online prescription ordering.  Ordering online is quick and convenient not only to you as a patient but also to our staff processing the prescription.  If you have access to a computer, please consider this. It will free up the dedicated prescription line, leaving it easier for those with no access to a computer to get through. Please see information on how you can do this under 'Prescriptions' heading on our home page.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

MISSED APPOINTMENTS!!

Please make sure that you attend all booked appointments with the GP.  Missed appointments cause unnecessary delays for other patients who need to see a doctor.  It will only take 2 minutes of your time to cancel your appointment if you don't need it.  This can be done on the telephone or via this website.  Cancelling unwanted appointments will help us provide a better service for all our patients!

TRAVELLER UP-DATES & INFORMATION

 

This page has been designed to provide information for our Traveller patients which is specific to their needs. 

 

NEW TRAVELLER HEALTH CLINIC!

Parkview Surgery is now offering a range of appointments to Traveller patients to assess their health needs.  The clinic will be run by one of our practice nurses who will measure your height, weight, BMI (body mass index) BP and talk to you about your general health & diet.  The nurse will take bloods if necessary. 

The practice will be sending out letters for you to attend this clinic.  Receptionists will also telephone you to confirm attendance.  It is important that you provide the practice with any changes to your phone number as soon as possible.

Traveller Support Groups: 

There are 2 main groups available in the local areas.  These are 'An Tearmann Project' in Coalisand and the 'Armagh Travellers Support Group' in Armagh.  Both of these groups provide extra support to Travellers and offer a wide range of activities and information days.  If you are interested in joining one of these groups, please see contact information below:
